Description
This is ~ArcUnCiel's Vadim. When I saw the character design, I immediately saw her in motion, so I tried to convey that spirit in the image. Plus, ~ArcUnCiel was kind enough to tip, so I had a nice excuse to work extra hard on the piece. ^^ I think it turned out phenominally and I'm so happy I was able to work on this character and turn out something I really like!
Painter Classic and Photoshop 7.0. The swirls in the background are a custom brush I made, and I'll hopefully be releasing a brush set with it soon.
Only one more commission and then I'll be open again!

OMG. I am shocked by how you were able to make a simple background look so good. o_o I must use this technique.
